Tuesday, May 14th from 10:00am to 1:00pm, Atlantic Health will be offering free bone density screenings in our lobby. The screenings will be conducted utilizing a heel ultrasound machine.
There will be a limited number of appointments available and each appointment will last about 10 minutes. Please sign up early at the front desk to reserve your spot.
A bone density test helps to determine whether you have a systemic skeletal disorder that causes bones to become weak and brittle, known as Osteoporosis. When you have Osteoporosis, your bones are more likely to break. It is a silent skeletal disorder, which means you may not experience any symptoms. Without a bone density test, you won’t be able to realize whether you have this condition until any of your bone breaks.
