At GMYMCA YBA, players develop basketball skills, build confidence, and have fun while learning teamwork and leadership. Players should bring a water bottle, wear their program shirt, and sneakers. Open to Members and Non-Members!

Registration opens: Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 8:00am  |  Registration closes: Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 7:00pm.

  • All games are at the YMCA on Saturdays only (79 Horsehill Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ)
    • K (Co-Ed) – 8:15am to 9:15am
    • 1st Grade Boys – 9:30am to 10:30am
    • 1st/2nd Girls – 10:45am to 11:45am
    • 2nd Grade Boys – 12:00pm to 1:00pm
  • Practices are once a week (Monday through Thursday) at either the Main Y (address above) or the Y-Zone (25 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ)
  • Practice schedules will be released by the volunteer coaches closer to the first week of practice.
  • Group maximums will be strictly enforced for safety.
  • No buddy requests accepted.

New This Season:

  • Kindergarten remains co-ed.
  • Starting at 1st Grade, boys and girls will play in separate leagues.
  • 1st & 2nd Grade Girls will play together as one group.
  • 1st Grade Boys and 2nd Grade Boys will continue as separate groups.
  • Travel Teams: Travel basketball begins at the 3rd/4th Grade level this year. Tryouts for 3rd/4th Co-Ed Team and 5th/6th Grade Boys and Girls Teams will be held in October. Watch your email for tryout dates and registration details.
